A search for true love

They say true love comes when she least expect it

Just stop the worrying because very soon she'd get it
This advice she would not take
She was impatient and did not want to wait

She went searching both near and far
But every guy she settled with have her a scar
She got hurt too many times before
She could not take any more
She cried herself to sleep at nights
But little did she know, around the corner was her long awaited knight

He had been her friend for many years
When he told her 'I love you' she broke down in tears
Realising how stupid she was and how blind
Not to know her true love was with her the whole time

Three years

Since we haven't had a real conversation.

Hi and bye doesn't make a difference

Even an altercation could;

What's bottled up inside you

I would know,

From what had happen

Three years ago.

I have said I'm sorry

But I don't know what went wrong.

We were the best of friends,

You and I all along.

Three years

Yet still, even now,

I shower you with love.

Send you cards

But you shove it aside.

All my efforts you disregarded

Old friend,

If this isn't enough,

I have had enough.
